Wecycle - Guernsey's favourite Kerbside Recycling Service
We provide a weekly collection service for your recycling. No more Saturday mornings in the rain in the bring bank car parks. On a nominated day, you put your recycling out with your bin and we come along and it magically disappears.
WE-COLLECTIONS
In order for us to run an efficient and reliable service, we ask you to follow these few simple rules:
Time - |
Please put out your bags for collection by 9am on your allocated collection day, as the time of collections can vary during that day. |
Bags - |
When you sign up to this service, we will supply you with a roll of approximately 50 transparent, biodegradable bags. Each week 6 of these bags are to be used to carry the 6 categories of recyclables. If on some week you only have certain bags full(i.e. Glass & Paper full, no Plastic & Tin) you can just put out whatever recycling you have. Please do not overfill the bags, leave a few inches at the top of the sack and tie loosely. On days when it rains, it is important that bags with paper &/or cardboard are made watertight. |
Extra Bags - |
Wecycle will issue stickers when you sign up. When you require an additional 50 bag roll, please place a sticker on one of your full collection bags and we will drop them at your door. |
Sorting - |
It's important to our service that recyclables are correctly sorted and segregated into the correct bags. |
Placement - |
Please leave the bags in a reasonably prominent position so it can be easily seen from the road. We suggest if possible you utilize your existing bins and place the wecycle bags inside these. |
